Tumitindi ang cooperation sa OFW Shien Coop sa Tokyo… ”one for all, all for one”.

Nakakatuwa at napakarami natin noong Linggo.That was a very successful second monthly meeting. Sana sa March 11 full force muli tayong lahat.Ate Linda, Aida, Ate Edna, Ate Angie, Leny/Rod/Pj, Dhanny, Karl, Nora, Edith, Joy, Ate Rose at Richard-welcome, Rhea-welcome, Neil, Digna, Madelene at Jun na mga dumating para sumuporta kahit saglit at nagpasabi na hindi makakarating like sina Dra. Kondo for health reason, Beth dahil bday ng kanyang hubby at Dominique na may dalang mga suits sana at Mariel na magdi-discuss tungkol sa Brastel sana, tuloy-tuloy tayo.

Habang ginagawa ni Aida ang complete minutes natin, eto iyung summary ng mga napag-usapan:
1. financial report para sa transparency as of 1-31-2007 ni Ate Linda (our interim treasurer)
2. mushroom project proposal with cashflow analysis ni Karl ng Todai – up to end of March at pag-usapan natin by e-mail kung papaano natin papatakbuhin at anu-ano ang mga risk nito na dapat paghandaan at iyung black and white na nakatala para klaro ang mga expectation ng Coop at mga katrabaho natin
3. savings project tieup with a bank in Region 7 – sa March 11 ipe-present
4. service projects from travel to translation to PC to cargo service
5. advertising OFW Shien Coop at Lipa City Colleges annual c/o Ate Edna
6. 7th savings pilot run
7. project committee selection ng bawat miyembro
8. completion of membership requirements for CDA registration

New Year Gathering – January 7, 2007




HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OFW SHIEN COOPERS!
January 7, 2007 was a very important date for OFW Shien Coopers because this was the date of the first regular meeting for 2007. The body had a votation to hold a regular monthly meeting, every second Sunday of the month, 4-6PM, at Meguro Catholic Church Hall. 14 active members attended this meeting and they were Linda M, Tonette, Madelene, Alona, Aida, Karl Marx, Neil, Linda B, Rose, Leny, Rod, Dominique, Edna and Mike. Discussed during this meeting were: 1) Financial Report (Nov – Dec 2006) by Linda M, 2) CDA registration and capitalization and shareholders’ requirements, 3) Shien Coop limited no. of membership during the founding year, 4) Projects on the rise - ongoing pilot family support runs and savings program, proposed mushroom production in cooperation with CLSU-Nueva Ecija hopefully and travel bureau, 5) Shien Bicol updates – 47,500 yen collection, 1 sent Forex box plus another box being filled up, 6) Next meeting will be on Feb 11, 2006, 4-6PM.

Hi Rico! Thanks for the positive reply. Pls communicate by email if you have direct questions regarding Shien Coop. Thanks for the interest to join this. If you can come, please join our 2nd PMES (Pre-Membership Education Seminar), temporarily scheduled on Feb 25. This will be held at Meguro Church hall, 2-5PM. Nearest station is Meguro via Yamanote line or Meguro line.

Im leaving for Korea this 23rd and i’ll be back on the 26th. I might attend next month’s seminar if possible. Yeah, I’m really interested about joining a Coop coz i believed this will pave a way for a brighter future for all OFW’s living abroad. Hope i could meet you next month.
